Hoy secures P3 in class at Spa despite race chaos

It was another dramatic weekend of racing for Sir Chris Hoy as he dodged a multitude of incidents on the track at Spa-Francorchamps.
Race one saw a series of spin-outs – first from Yu Changwook after a swift retirement from Kim Hyunjiun, which caused a full course yellow. But once the lights turned green once again, Gorski also spun.
Chris said: “There were lots of incidents but I managed to stay out of trouble despite a couple of hairy moments.”
Although Hoy didn’t completely escape the drama. A complete loss of power steering for the second half of the race meant he had to muster all his force to simply turn the wheel.
The result was a P3 in class.
