British auto designer Sterling shines amid global demand for bespoke car customs

10th July 2020

Amid the unprecedented global disruption of Covid-19, Davanti partner Sterling Automotive has continued to flourish as demand has increased for unique car customisation.

Before the pandemic hit, Davanti Tyres revealed that it was partnering with new premium automotive design house Sterling – a new brand which is already renowned for bringing a high-quality, British accent to the custom car market.

All Sterling custom vehicles are injected with British design heritage. They come fitted with British-engineered Davanti tyres and their leatherwork, metalwork and 3D-printed body panels are all created at their Blackburn headquarters.

“As a new business, the pandemic did throw up some significant challenges for us to navigate,” said Carl Williamson, Managing Director of Sterling Automotive. “But fortunately we were able to launch our first vehicles – our reimagined Jeep Wrangler and our fresh Audi Q8 project – before it struck.

“Those vehicles really captured a lot of attention globally and we’re now seeing this translate into firm interest from both clients and the wider car community. Our custom projects have really captured the attention across the spectrum as we’ve applied our bespoke British customisation to a diverse array of vehicles from the Audi Q8 to the Transit Custom.

Sean Maddocks, UK & Ireland Sales director for Davanti Tyres, said: “Our partnership with Sterling is exciting as our brands carry such close synergy.

“As we deliver new products to the market, we’re proud to showcase them alongside Sterling’s uniquely elegant and considered workmanship.

“From our all-terrain Terratoura tyre, to the sporty ultra-high performance DX640, Davanti delivers the comfort and control that you would expect from a brand built upon bespoke British heritage.”

“We are extremely proud to work with Sterling, and despite all that 2020 has thrown at the world, it’s great to see two successful British brands cutting through with great success – not only in the UK, but also in the international market.”
