Wigan Warriors secure League Leaders Shield

After a close game against the Leigh Leopards, Wigan Warriors claimed the League Leaders Shield, finishing top of the Super League table for a sixth time.
With a final score of 10-6, the win will see them begin the play-offs in pole position.
It wasn’t an easy fight for the Warriors despite them taking an early lead in the 18th minute, with counter tries from the Leopards making for a tense second half. The game wasn’t without its controversy either, as both teams had tries disallowed for obstruction.
As their 8th consecutive win, the Warriors need just one more to secure their place in the final on 14th October.
