Wigan Warriors crowned Grand Final Champions 2024

As the year draws to a close, we want to share our congratulations once again with our long-standing partner, Wigan Warriors, who were crowned Grand Final Champions 2024 on 12th October. In a nail-biting clash at Old Trafford, Wigan secured a hard-fought 9-2 victory over Hull KR to cap off an unforgettable season for the Rugby League giants.
The lead up to the game saw much anticipation, with the added pressure of the Warriors being defending champions facing Hull KR, who had never reached the Grand Final before. As both teams were standout performers across the season, it was a nail biting game from the get go.
Defending hard from the start, both sides tried to make enough gains on the field to put the ball over the try line. In the end, the Warriors were able to make the most of their chances; an opening try from Bevan French gave them the advantage, while a crucial penalty was converted by Adam Keighran to secure the Warriors victory at the final whistle.
This historic win not only adds another trophy to Wigan’s collection but also cements their dominance as they successfully defended their title.
Wigan Warriors had already won the Challenge Cup against Warrington Wolves earlier in the year and clinched the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers – no club in the history of the Superleague has been able to hold all 4 major trophies in a single season. So, with this in mind, Wigan were undoubtedly the favourites to win heading into the Grand Final – and their winning streak continued!
It’s now time for some rest and relaxation for the team, but we are already excited to see what the next season will hold.
