Spanos SA competes in the World Rally Championship in Greece

Our customer, SPANOS SA, showcased Davanti to a global TV audience when they competed in the World Rally Championship (WRC) EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2023. As the top level of rally where the best rally drivers in the world compete, previous famous winners have included Walter Röhrl, Carlos Sainz and Sébastien Loeb.
Participating in round 10 of the global rally series in Lamia, Spiros Galerakis, along with co-driver Konstantinos Soukoulis, sported a Davanti-branded WRC3 spec Ford Fiesta. WRC3 is an event classification exclusively for homologated Rally 3 cars, such as vehicles with a 1.5-litre, turbocharged engine and four-wheel drive.
Over the 4-day event, the team took on 15 gruelling stages of primarily twisty, gravel mountain roads with a total competitive distance of 307.69km (191.19 miles). Their efforts resulted in a podium finish, having finished third place in the WRC3 class.
