This doesn’t exclusively identify a tyre as all-season as it also applies to winter tyres, but it helps you understand the tyre’s capabilities.
• Tread design – All-season tyres tend to have more sipes than a summer tyre to help with traction in wet and icy conditions, whereas summer tyre tread patterns are much simpler with larger, solid tread blocks for better dry grip. When viewed from a distance, an all-season pattern often forms a distinctive V-shape exampled below.
