Driving your van in the snow with Vantoura

10th January 2024

With winter now well underway, drivers should be prepared for the unpredictable weather and road conditions, especially light commercial vehicle drivers who need to get from A to B as efficiently as possible. However, this isn’t always easy when carrying a heavy load and navigating slippery road surfaces. The best way to ensure safety in such conditions is by having the correct tyres.

All-season tyres are designed to withstand changing weather conditions, providing effective performance throughout the year. This adaptability eliminates the need to change tyres with the seasons, making them an ideal solution for commercial van fleets to streamline operations and increase efficiencies.

Vantoura 4-Seasons

Vantoura 4-Seasons is Davanti’s light commercial vehicle tyre, designed to help drivers feel confident against the elements. The tread pattern features prominent sawtooth sipes, which ensures responsive handling on surfaces with low traction, and the specially-formulated compound stabilises grip when temperatures rise or fall. The construction is robust, and combined with a durable contact patch, they work together to improve heavy-load support.

Testing Vantoura 4-Seasons

Vantoura 4-Seasons was tested in some of the harshest winter conditions at Test World in Finland, ensuring it could withstand the most challenging elements. It excelled in the following winter tests:

  • Ice acceleration
  • Ice braking
  • Ice handling
  • Snow acceleration
  • Snow braking
  • Snow handling

Not only did Vantoura outperform competitors in ice and snow testing, but it also excelled in wet handling and braking, as well as aquaplaning resistance.

These results have earned Vantoura 4-Seasons 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification, which officially recognises its harsh winter performance and allows it to be fitted year-round in countries with winter tyre legislation.
