Davanti sponsors Wigan Warriors vs Wakefield Trinity in matchday takeover

26th April 2023

It was a packed stadium at Robin Park on 23rd April for the Wigan Warriors vs Wakefield Trinity game, which we attended as the main sponsor.

Over 12,000 fans were in attendance on the day, including more than 100 Juniors from Davanti-sponsored Hindley ARLFC.

There was lots of action on and off the pitch. Pre match, the fan village was a hive of activity, with the Hindley Juniors taking part in various special activities including; training sessions with the Warriors training team, flag bearing ahead of the game, and acting as player mascots. There was also a player meet and greet, where fans had the chance to meet; Jai Field, Cade Cust, Kaide Ellis, Liam Farrell and Logan Astley, while picking up a Davanti-branded, signed, mini rugby ball as a keepsake.

After fun in the fan village, spectators headed over to the arena to watch the Warriors beat Wakefield Trinity 22-6, with tries scored by Marshall, Miski, Havard and French.

To keep the crowd entertained at half time, the Hindley Juniors took to the pitch in their Davanti-branded kits to take part in the Davanti Dash in a boys vs girls race to the halfway line. Upon completing the race, they then had to attempt to score a try, with lots of encouragement from the crowd.

Overall the day was a huge success, with a victory for Wigan Warriors and many happy fans.

Wigan Warriors’ next game is against Hull FC on Thursday 4th May, 8pm.
