Davanti plants over 25,000 trees with Ecologi
4th March 2024We have planted over 25,000 trees as part of our commitment to helping combat the effects of climate change with the support of our environmental partner, Ecologi.
In a bid to protect ecosystems worldwide, our tree-planting efforts have contributed to many forestation and reforestation projects across the globe. Over 2,000 trees have been planted in Senegal as part of the Tambacounda project, which aims to restore degraded land that has been affected by high temperatures and lack of rainfall.
We’ve also planted over 800 trees in the Gewocha Forest in Ethiopia, intending to improve the standard of living that has been affected by poor soil quality.
These are just two recent examples of how we are contributing to a better future with the help of Ecologi. You can check out the other projects we have supported here.
Peter Cross, general manager of Davanti, said:
“We’re so proud to be able to make a positive change in some of these communities that have felt the direct effects of climate change. There is so much more work to be done, and we’re excited to continue supporting these projects as much as we can to secure a safer and essentially, an inhabitable future for the planet.”
