Davanti Dealer of the Month – tyrZ Bollington

From a man with a van to a respected authorised Davanti Tyres dealer – Bollington-based tyrZ has come a long way.
Established by Andy Ritchie in 2004, tyrZ started out as a mobile fitting service. Andy and his van would criss-cross rural Cheshire and the Peak District replacing and repairing tyres wherever they were needed.
Today, tyrZ has an established base at Ovenhouse Farm in Bollington where they offer tyre fitting and repair, wheel alignment and exhaust fitting and replacement.
It also runs a fleet of mobile fitting vans to give more drivers access to tyrZ’s automotive expertise.
Davanti Tyres’ Protoura Sport ambassador and 6-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy even paid Andy and his team a visit to have a set of new tyres fitted.
“As we have grown the quality of our service has meant we’ve retained customers throughout our journey,” said Andy. “Some customers who came to us when we were starting out are still customers today because of the quality of the service we provide.
“Those customers have spread the word and helped bring more new faces in as the business has grown. We’re really proud of the fact that once customers use us, they keep coming back.”
Their rural location means tyrZ has to be versatile. Their customer base includes high performance sports cars, small city car drivers and agricultural vehicles, including tractors.
But every customer gets the same honest, good value service that Andy first offered when it was just him and the van.
“For us it’s all about trust,” said Andy. “Customers generally don’t have in-depth knowledge of tyres. They rely on us to advise them on the tyres they need and the tyres they can trust.
“So we have a responsibility to ensure we recommend the right tyres while also ensuring customers are getting great value.”
The reputation they had built meant tyrZ were sceptical when first approached to be an authorised Davanti Tyres dealer.
“We don’t make decisions that affect our customers or our business lightly,” said Andy. “We already had what we felt was a comparable, established brand on sale and Davanti at that time was fairly new.
“But the performance data, the fact it was a British company and what we saw first-hand when we were invited to see Davanti Tyres tested convinced me to give them a chance.
“Since then the brand has invested in development and proved itself to be a reliable, innovative brand we are proud to recommend to our customers.
“It also has a fantastic dealer support programme that makes it really easy to upgrade our signage and branding to ensure that from the minute a customer arrives, everything they see reflects the professional level of service we offer.”
