Cobley leads British Cross Country Championship class after Kielder victory
28th September 2021The demanding Kielder course could not dent Edd Cobley’s title push as he triumphantly returned to the British Cross Country Championships.
He won the modified production class again at the Falstone course to retain his championship lead going into the final round.
All weekend he was pushed by the chasing team of David Brose and Graham Stephenson but Cobley, piloting Skippy 2.0 on our own Terratoura A/T all-terrains, came out on top to extend his lead in the modified production class.
“It’s always a tough challenge to race at Kielder,” said Edd. “But it was a great weekend of racing. To come out on top after nine laps by just under a second was nailbiting but I always felt we had the pace to win.”
The title will now be decided in the final round at Walters Arena in Neath on October 9/10.
