Become a Warrior competition series continues: fan enjoys behind-the-scenes experience with Wigan Warriors

As part of our Become a Warrior competition series in partnership with Wigan Warriors, the latest winner – 12-year-old George – was given a once-in-a-lifetime experience to go behind the scenes and enjoy a sneak peek into a day in the life of a Wigan Warriors player.
George was welcomed to the Robin Park training facility in December, kicking off his special day with breakfast alongside the whole rugby team. From there, George was taken on a guided tour of Robin Park before heading over to the DW Stadium for a look around the facilities, including seeing where the team shirts are prepared ahead of each game.
Equipment Manager, Roy Dickinson, gifted George a game ball from the Challenge Cup Final – where Wigan Warriors won the Super League – which was signed by the whole team. He was also given the unique opportunity to join Harry Smith – his favourite player on the first team – for some drills, including a bleep test, tackling, and passing exercises.
Commenting on the day, George shared: “I had a good time at Wigan Warriors and learned loads from the players and coaches. Thanks Wigan Warriors and Davanti Tyres”.
