Tony Lynch makes his Retro Rallycross return
5th September 2025
Tony Lynch is preparing to make a return to the Retro Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill this weekend, after switching focus to the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship this season.
Competing in his Peugeot 205 GTI after the Toyota MR2 was significantly damaged in the BTRDA season opener, it’s set to be a busy weekend as Lynch takes to the track for both series’.
Currently sitting at the top of the Classic category in the BTRDA competition, Lynch hopes to keep his advantage over David Ewin. His other challenge for the weekend will be going up against old rivals Dan Swayland and Simon Hart in the Retro Rallycross Championship.
Commenting on the packed weekend schedule, Tony said:
“Running in both the Retro and Classic classes means we have a busy weekend ahead of us but it will be a great way to see how much progress we’ve made with the Peugeot since we brought it home earlier this year.
“So far this season, we’ve been really consistent in our results and it has allowed us to lead the way in the Classic series.
“A strong performance this weekend is the big focus and I’m confident that we can maintain the form we have displayed so far and challenge for some silverware.”
