Terratoura M/T makes its official live racing debut at the Scottish Summer Hill Rally
4th July 2025
Terratoura M/T had its first true test in a live race at the Tunnock’s Scottish Summer Hill Rally, where off-road rally legend Edd Cobley put the tyre through its paces.
Set in the beauty of Thirlestane Castle in Scotland, each stage of the rally took competitors through the hills surrounding the castle, with many travelling around 200 miles on and off road over the weekend.
Edd Cobley raced Terratoura M/T on his Land Rover Defender 110 (Skippy 2.0), and he was in good company amongst other modified 4×4 vehicles, specialist off-road buggies and the new Land Rover Defender from the Defender Rally series.
Since the mud terrain tyre’s launch, Edd has been eager to showcase the tyre’s abilities in a live race, and it did not disappoint, with Edd commenting that they were “…next level epic.”
The weekend started well for Edd, who came 3rd overall by the end of Saturday’s action. However, this wasn’t without its problems, as a fuel starvation issue that occurred at a previous event had returned, resulting in Edd having to pull out of the event on the Sunday, dashing any hopes of what looked set to be a podium finish.
Edd is hoping for more success as he competes in the 2025 All Wheel Drive Club (AWDC) Safari Championship, with the next round set to take place in Minehead on 20th July.
