Protoura Race Revs Up for 2025 Season with the Swift Sport Challenge Pre-Season Track Day
20th March 2025
The excitement for the inaugural Swift Sport Challenge is already in full swing. Designed as an affordable and accessible circuit racing experience by the 750 Motor Club, this new entry-level formula is set to shake up the racing scene in 2025.
Drivers recently gathered at Donington Park for the Pre-Season Trackday, with around 25 Suzuki Swift Sport vehicles hitting the circuit for an adrenaline-fueled test session. With the official season opener set for 11th May at Silverstone, the countdown to a new club racing championship has begun.
With Davanti as the commercial sponsor of the Swift Sport Challenge and Protoura Race as the official competition tyre, the Davanti team headed down to Donnington to meet with drivers and hand out goody bags filled with Davanti merchandise. The Pre-Season Trackday also saw the debut of the Davanti Race Team who are taking part in the race series.
The Davanti Race Team is made up of Adam Blair, professional race driver, and Ray Collier, experienced club racer and chief engineer at TREAD Ltd, who played a vital part on the development of the Protoura Race tyre.
With an incredible influx of novice and experienced racers joining the race series, there was a lively atmosphere both in the paddock and on track. And it wasn’t just about putting in the laps, teams and drivers made the most of expert support and guidance available throughout the day to ensure everyone’s vehicles were fine tuned and running smoothly.
Even with such a strong turnout for the Pre-Season Trackday, an additional 9 vehicles are expected to be added to the grid by the first race weekend at Silverstone, meaning the competition is only set to get fiercer.
