Edd Cobley claims Scottish Borders Hill Rally title

Fresh from his class victory in the British Cross Country Championships, Davanti Tyres-backed Edd Cobley has bagged another off-road rally honour.
Once again his custom-built Land Rover Defender 110 Doublecab – Skippy 2.0 – complete with our Terratoura A/T tyres, proved unmatched as he stormed to victory in the Modified Production class of the Scottish Borders Hill Rally.
The event, which took place at Forrest Estate near Castle Douglas, was cancelled last year, prompting a bumper entry this time around.
With tough terrain ranging from forest trails to firebreaks to quarry stages, the race pushed every driver to the limit.
“I love this event,” said Edd. “I was really looking forward to competing last year. To come here as a BXCC champion and add a second title for the season to my collection, I’m so proud.
“Racing is so much better the more of you there are, it strengthens that sense of competition. Competing against a full card of drivers only made the weekend more exciting.
“As expected, both Skippy and Terratoura A/T refused to let me down. I have put them both through the wringer this season but they have risen to every challenge and survived every extreme. There seems to be nothing they can’t handle!”
