Davanti Donates Charity Livery to British Racer Dan Zelos for Parkinsons UK

29th August 2024

Our long-standing brand ambassador, Dan Zelos, recently took centre stage at Croft Circuit, debuting a unique one-off livery, showcasing his continued support for Parkinson’s UK – a charity very close to his heart.

Dan, with the help of the MINI CHALLENGE series team, arranged some special charity fundraising activities at Croft Circuit’s two-day race event on 27th – 28th July.

To help raise money for the charity, spectators and other racing teams were invited to participate in the lineup of activities, which included a circuit charity walk and a generous prize draw. All entrants to the charity circuit walk and prize draw were encouraged to donate at least £5, with all proceeds going towards Parkinson’s UK.

As Dan’s principal partner, we of course, were delighted to support the fundraising efforts by donating a unique charity livery for the race weekend, allowing Parkinson’s UK to take centre stage. The livery, complete with Parkinson’s UK colours and branding and a QR code for spectators to donate, aimed to raise as much awareness and money as possible. Alongside the gifting of the livery design, we also donated n to the Parkinson’s UK charity.

It was a great weekend that welcomed thousands of spectators, with the event helping Dan raise over £4,000 to date for Parkinson’s UK.

Commenting on the partnership, Dan Zelos said: “Parkinson’s disease is a diagnosis which has deeply impacted my family over the past six months, so it means a lot to bring Parkinson’s UK on board with me this year. The EXCELR8 Motorsport family and I are dedicating our efforts to raising awareness for the charity and contributing to their ongoing quest for a cure. Accepting this diagnosis has been a hard journey for my family and has served as a poignant reminder to cherish every moment and live life to the fullest. I want to thank everyone who has donated and supported us.”

Sean Maddocks, Davanti Sales Director for UK & Ireland adds: “As Dan is one of our longstanding partners, we didn’t think twice about supporting him and his family in their fundraising efforts for Parkinson’s UK. Over 150,000 people in the UK live with the condition, so it’s sadly a disease that touches many of us and has impacted my family personally. We are committed to helping raise as much money as possible for such a great cause.”
