Sir Chris Hoy returns for his fourth season at the Sports Prototype Cup

As the start of a new racing season approaches, Protoura Sport ambassador Sir Chris Hoy will soon be returning to the track for his fourth season of the Sports Prototype Cup.
Unlike its rival championships, the Sports Prototype Cup is giving racers the opportunity to compete at five current F1 circuits including Barcelona, Spa, Silverstone, Zandvoort and Paul Ricard.
The competition is set to commence at Zandvoort on 9th-10th April with two, 1-hour enduro races.
Looking towards his return, Sir Chris Hoy said:
“I’m incredibly excited about this upcoming season where I’ll be competing in the Sports Prototype Cup in a Revolution A-One 500SC. This new version of the car is now significantly faster and more powerful than the previous generation which should make the driving experience all the more exhilarating.
“We’ll be racing on some awesome Grand Prix tracks across Europe. I’m especially delighted that there’s a round at Spa, one of my all-time favourite circuits, plus the opportunity to drive at Zandvoort for the first time with its new layout. I’ve been in the simulator doing my homework, so hopefully I can hit the ground running and get the season off to a flyer in a few weeks’ time.”
Equipped with a carbon tub and bodywork, double halo protection and LMP level technology, the Revolution A-One 500SC is the fastest car in its class. Sir Chris Hoy is hopeful it will lead him to experience another victory following Silverstone last year.
