Protoura concept takes centre stage at Equip Auto

10th October 2019

Davanti Tyres will showcase its Protoura Sport Ultra-High Performance model on its debut at Equip Auto in Paris from October 15.

Just four years after bringing its first car tyre – the DX390 – to the market, Davanti has developed a full passenger car range and moved into innovation phase two with its latest offerings.

Last year it unveiled its full-production Terratoura all-terrain tyre – a major move forward for its presence in global markets.

This year the manufacturer is launching a next-generation ultra-high performance tyre – Protoura Sport. This model is still in the early stages of testing but is already shaping up to disrupt the UHP sector, in the same way Terratoura is shaking things up off-road.

“We are entering a new phase of development,” said Davanti Product Manager Gary Cross. “Our current range of passenger car and van tyres is strong, established and well-tested. The DX640 – a road tyre – is even used by the racing school at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

“But we cannot stand still. Just because our tyres are great does not mean we can’t do better. We need to continually challenge ourselves.

“We did it with the Terratoura all-terrain tyre and that has been a big success. With Protoura we are looking at the next generation of Davanti tyre and using all our expertise to make it our best product yet.”

Davanti will also highlight its elite-level brand partnerships with Everton Football Club and the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve at this year’s stand.

“As a brand with both a fast growing range and reputation, being able to forge and strengthen relationships there is especially important as we seek to build new partnerships in new territories,” said Davanti General Manager Peter Cross.

“Bringing Davanti’s quality, service and value to new customers is our primary goal. We believe a safe, comfortable, enjoyable drive should be accessible to all, which is why we are constantly working to bring Davanti to new drivers all over the globe.”
