DAVANTI TYRES SPONSORS A TEAM UNDERTAKING A 150-MILE CHARITY RUN OF HADRIAN’S WALL

5th October 2023

We are pleased to announce a sponsorship with endurance challenge team Status Code 14 in their upcoming running challenge spanning a lengthy 150-mile National Trail of Hadrians’s wall, all to raise money for mental health in the blue light services as well as men’s cancer charities.

The team of 4- who is made up predominantly of serving and ex-serving military and police-will begin their coast-to-coast journey at Wallsend, Newcastle Upon Tyne finishing in Bowness-On-Solway then back in a little over a week, starting their run on the 21st of October with the goal to complete on the 29th of October.

We are proud to be the main sponsor for the team. Peter Cross, Davanti General Manager said:
“The Status Code 14 team is taking on a challenge most of us could only dream of completing, and all to raise money and awareness for important causes. We hope our donation will help toward raising a fantastic amount for the mental health and men’s cancer charities and we wish the team the very best of luck.”

Scott Dawson from Status code 14 said:

“Firstly we would like to say a huge thank you to all at Davanti for the support and sponsorship of this event.

“This endurance run is more than about raising funds for our chosen charity, it’s a way to highlight and raise awareness around positive attitudes towards mental health and PTSD in our blue light emergency service workers, veterans and serving military. It’s a testament to Davanti’s own positive stance and openness about mental health in the workplace that makes us so pleased to have them as a partner.

“Hadrians wall is the 4th of six endurance challenges the team is undertaking. The first saw one of us run 75 miles across Scotland from Inverness to Fort William in just over 24 hours. The second was a 4 man triathlon relay from London to Paris including a Channel swim. In February this year we completed a 3,295 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean competing against 42 other teams in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge ocean rowing race taking 60 days, 4 hours and 7 minutes and winning the trio open class race.”
