Dan Zelos closes Porsche Sprint Challenge season with his fourth top four finish
3rd November 2025
The Porsche Sprint Challenge came to an end at Brands Hatch, with Dan Zelos finishing on his fourth top four result.
After a 9th place result in qualifying for race one, Zelos made his fighting intentions known from the starting line as he quickly advanced to 7th, and then 6th on the exit of the Paddock Hill bend. After another overtake on lap two, he managed to get clear of the rest of the drivers and achieved fourth place, matching his best score of the season.
Race two was a little more unfortunate, after a five-second penalty for a track limits transgression relegated him to 10th place, but he brought it back in race three. Consistent lap times saw him reduce a deficit of more than three seconds and a climb from 14th to a podium finish.
The series was Zelos’ first return to rear-wheel drive in nearly 10 years, so after a little time getting used to the car in the early rounds, things really started to ramp up from then and he has seen great progress over the season. Brands Hatch saw Dan finish 8th overall and 6th in class, which despite feeling poor reward for the efforts put in, he felt a sense of satisfaction for what was achieved over the 2025 series.

Commenting on the finale, Dan said:
“Brands Hatch ‘GP’ is a track I enjoy and very much a confidence circuit. That being the case, I wasn’t sure how long it would take me to get fully up-to-speed there for the first time in the Porsche, but I was really happy with our form on Friday.
“The penalty in race two obviously wasn’t ideal, but we reset and refocussed for race three and…we had really strong pace again – only the winner posted a better fastest lap.
“Overall, it’s been a season filled with learning, improvement and great memories; I’ve gelled with the Graves Motorsport team really well, and the results definitely don’t reflect the potential we’ve displayed. It’s so tight at the front in the RS Clubsport Pro category, and everybody else in the class has at least one year’s experience on me – some of them even more. I was the only rookie in the field, so I’m really proud of my progression.
“Of course you always want more, and a podium would clearly have been nice after coming close on a few occasions, but we showed a marked step-up in performance over the final three race weekends, which is a major positive to take forward. New tyre runs will be a big focus over the winter, because qualifying is such an important part of this championship – but once we nail that element too, I think we’ll be in really strong shape…”
